Our Invisalign process

invisalign-macleod

Here at The Dental Retreat, we are very proud to offer Invisalign Macleod to our patients who are struggling with teeth misalignment. This is a popular treatment, and you will see why when we explain how it works, and the advantages that you will get from it.

This treatment uses clear, plastic, removable aligners to help straighten misaligned teeth, and our patients love the results they can get from it. The aligners will be perfect for you if you have a milder case of misalignment, as your teeth can be moved quicker, but can also be of help for more severe cases.

How does it all work?

Before we can proceed with giving you your aligners, it is vital that we have a consultation with you. This appointment allows us to first make sure you are eligible for the treatment, which most people are, and to examine your teeth to assess the complexity of your case. We will also take scans to get a more in-depth look at your teeth and jaw, and they will also be used to influence the creation of your custom aligners.

When we come to the end of the consultation, this is when you can decide whether you want to go ahead with getting Invisalign Macleod with us. If you do, then we will send your scans off so that your custom aligners can be created. We will give you a few different aligners at a time, and the amount you need will depend on the severity of your case. Each aligner is different, and will gently move the position of your teeth over time.

You will change between the different aligners every 2 weeks or so, which is easy to do due to them fitting to your teeth so well and being able to pop on and off with ease. We will have check-up appointments with you every 6-8 weeks during the treatment, so that we can provide you with more aligners if needed and check on your progress.

Once you have completed our Invisalign Macleod treatment and are enjoying your new, straighter smile, we highly recommend that you wear retainers. We can provide these for you, and they help to make sure that your teeth don’t move back into their original positioning.

The advantages

When you get this treatment with us, there are so many great advantages that you can enjoy. Our team at The Dental Retreat loves giving this treatment to our patients and seeing their happy faces at the end of it.

Easy process

One of the things that makes this treatment so popular is the ease of the whole process, from start to finish. There are no invasive surgeries, no fixed dental appliances, and you can do it all from your own home.

Comfortable aligners

Another thing that our patients love about this treatment is how comfortable the aligners are to wear compared to some other options. The soft, thin plastic that is used helps with the smoothness on your gums, and they are custom-made for your teeth, meaning that they won’t feel too different or uncomfortable.
